Carving the same path to Allah

I was startled when I saw the news on twitter about the death of Tuan Guru Nik Aziz (TGNA) on Thursday evening. I scrolled on twitter and facebook, and after screening many mainstream news reporting the same event, it affirmed me over any fabrication or falsification.

It was indeed a great loss for many, especially the people of Kelantan which had really a strong bond with Tuan Guru. I had never really known Tuan Guru, apart from what many people know about him. He was a great leader, humble in personality yet charismatic and stood firmly on his beliefs and principles.

A few milliseconds followed by, and social media were heavily condensed with news, peoples' personal experiences & stories with him, videos, and photos on or by Tuan Guru. That trend continues until now, although the waves might have been slower and more articles would be more analytic and critical towards Tuan Guru.

When a good people is dead, people will tell others their meaningful moments with the deceased. They will try to make themselves as among the good people who was dead. I see the same pattern with people on TGNA. This is not unusual when a great person like him touched so many hearts, even them who never seen him their whole life. Having fulfilled his life for the sake of Allah (in the permission of Allah), Allah swt will grant him hasanah  (goodness) in life and the Afterlife. People will read his writings, share his thoughts and emulate his way of life for decades to come.

He will be remembered as all the great leaders of PAS and Muslims around the world who had fulfilled their commitment to this Deen.

How about us?
Are we carving the same path to Allah?

Allahummaghfirlahu warhamhu wa'afihi wa'fuanhu.
"O Allah forgive him, have mercy on him, bless him and excuse all his misgivings..."

The perks of doing elective posting.

Before every summer break, elective posting or attachment in hospitals are one of the common topics being discussed among medical students especially for those in clinical years. There will be many things lingering in our mind when we talk about it. How to apply? Is it tough? What should I equip myself with? Can I cope? There are fears, and there are expectations. But like what Naik always said, just do it! Who can apply? Any medical students who are: 1. Studying in institutions listed on Jadual Kedua Akta Perubatan 1971 . Refer Page 43-60, 2. Local IPTA or IPTS, 3. Still studying. Postgraduates cannot apply except registered under overseas Majlis Perubatan, applying under seksyen 6 Akta Perubatan 1971 .  You guys are encouraged to apply to do elective posting in government hospital, be it clinical or preclinical students.
